It's clear as a bell: audiences love "Black Panther" and upcoming final numbers are very likely reflecting it.  According to a story that appeared in Deadspin, Ryan Coogler's new film is estimated to travel north of $200 million in the U.S. and Canada over this four-day weekend.

On Thursday "Black Panther" broke a February record with over $25.2 million in Thursday night ticket sales for the film.  The chances look very promising for the box office, the final numbers of which will be announced on Tuesday.

People go to the movies dressed up as costumes that the characters in "Black Panther" wear.  This identification with the wardroble of the film is seen in numerous other "event" movies.

Note: The two winners of Kendrick Lamar's "Black Panther" CD soundtrack will be announced on Sunday.
