Part Five: Conclusion and Solution

We all hope that none of the fictional scenarios involving Sarah and nuclear attacks on America ever happen.  One asks why are the gas prices so high, why is it that speculators who trade on oil are pushing oil prices up so high?  The obvious answer is greed and to make a big profit, but to make a profit based on what event?  Do they know in advance that something will happen in America or elsewhere?  If so, would that account for why oil traders and those in the mortgage market at Bear Stearns and elsewhere are taking the money and running now in advance?  (Record numbers of stock options were traded in airline stock in advance of September 11, 2001.)  Is this why the American economy is in what some have called a depression?  In 2008 the Dow Jones Industrial Average had its worst June since the Great Depression

When you think about the high prices of oil and the reluctance of Americans to travel, it's almost as if a scenario would occur where Americans would be confined and immobilized in the event of, God forbid some kind of terrorist attack far worse than 9/11/01 and much more far reaching.  The floods of June 2008 displaced many people, with dozens killed.  Wildfires in California, some 10,000 of them in June and July 2008, displaced thousands from their homes.  Hurricane Katrina killed thousands and displaced millions from their homes in 2005.  One doesn't have to see the acclaimed documentary "When The Levees Broke" to know this.  The power outages across the Northeast and Midwest in August 2003 bred chaos, as did the the outages of the summer of 1977, which were also chronicled in the film "Summer Of Sam".

With more than 435,000 jobs lost this year so far alone and jobs leaving the country and being exported by American multinational corporations to India and China, with China holding all of the billions of dollars of debt that America owes it, and with record war spending, with the very real prospect of a war with Iran that could end more than just one country, is it therefore merely commonsense to connect the dots?  Or is it conspiratorial?

With all that has happened in the world lately, does that last question even matter?

It is interesting to note that the U.S. government's own National Intelligence Estimate of 2007 found that Iran stopped its nuclear weapons building program in 2003 and was deemed at least ten years away from having nuclear capability.  The report further buttressed a 2005 NIE report.  Here's a more concise report on the NIE of 2007 and the reaction to it.

With the news being -- as one radio talk show host recently put it -- "cancelled", with nothing but stories about unity in New Hampshire, to fill a 24-hour cable news cycle, useless news about Cindy McCain's so-called Recipe-gate and endless frivolous stories about pregnant celebrities, with millions of foreclosures on homes of middle-class Americans, is America on the edge of its very survival?

Are detention camps in America a serious reality in 2008, 2009 and beyond?  Am I completely off my rocker?  Is America on its way out?  I'd rather look like a complete idiot with this half-brained essay-editorial-bedtime story and be utterly wrong, than try to be like some petty faux Nostradamus.  Every one was warned in advance about the Y2K scare, and nothing happened.  No one in the general public was warned in advance about 9/11/01.  Better to be safe and wrong than caught so savagely unawares.  Am I fear-mongering as well here?  Perhaps, but shouting fire in a crowded theater or Internet may well be worth it.  There have been drills in America over the last two years to prepare against a nuclear attack in the U.S. and these have been reported on by local newscasters on television and in mainstream papers like the San Francisco Chronicle and Washington Post, among others.

The story from Radar as well as those links from stories and videos from American mainstream press should be read, watch, digested and discussed with friends, neighbors, media and elected representatives .

In the meantime, write the local and mainstream media with any concerns you may have.  Call your Congress person and/or your senator.  Contact the presidential campaigns of John McCain and Barack Obama.  Ask them whether they would continue the president's warrantless spying program on Americans.  Contact the authors of the Radar story and the writers of the stories linked here.  "Deputize yourself", as one late conservative American commentator once said, "read the constitution!"  (Some would assert that the days of the Constitution have already been numbered.)

So in closing, please keep loving America, and work safely, peacefully and responsibly to make it a better place.  America is 232 years old today.  Here's hoping that there will be at least 232 more years of this great land in existence.  The Founding Fathers would want nothing more than the preservation of the United States Of America.  Free speech, the U.S. constitution and this great country called the United States Of America, and on this hallowed birthday, I still have the right to write this, as you have the right to speak and disagree with any or all of what you have just read.  Thank goodness for America, even with all its flaws and imperfections, it is still by far, the greatest country on earth.

As for Sarah's whereabouts, well, she's in an undisclosed location.  We've lost all possible contact with her.
