Andrew Stanton's world of wonderment, fairy-tale and love are exemplified by his animated Pixar film "Wall-E", a beautiful, luminous story about a lonely waste-compacting robot, the only form of life on a planet Earth decimated by the onslaught of climate change.  Wall-E is the de facto caretaker of the environment and he seeks to reinvigorate and re-grow it through love and evolution.  He travels to outer space, where the solar system has been hijacked by Buy 'n' Large corporation, which owns absolutely everything in sight.  The film and its title subject are adorable and easy to love.  Along with the great animation Mr. Stanton lends a cautionary note and feeling to a G-rated film that is sometimes disturbing.  A classic for years to come, "Wall-E" plays like a cross between "2001: A Space Odyssey" (which it resembles in many ways) and "E.T."  Highly entertaining and the best Disney film in more than a generation, "Wall-E" is a magical experience.
