Focus Features announced today that it has secured the U.S. rights and select international distribution rights for Lisa Cholodenko's latest film "The Kids Are Alright", which had its world premiere at this year's Sundance Film Festival and continues to show there this week.

The film is about the relationship between a sperm donor (Mark Ruffalo) who donates to a same-sex couple (Annette Bening and Julianne Moore), and is sought by his daughter.  The comedy is Ms. Cholodenko's third film ("High Art", "Laurel Canyon").

Mark Ruffalo has his directing debut film "Sympathy For Delicious" currently playing at Sundance.  He previously worked with Julianne Moore on the 2008 film "Blindness".  Annette Bening can be seen at Sundance in the film "Mother And Child", and Ms. Moore can be seen in theaters now in "A Single Man".
