Twentieth Century Fox today announced that Oliver Stone's sequel to his 1987 Oscar-wining film "Wall Street" will have its release pushed back to September 24.

"Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" was originally scheduled to open in the U.S. and Canada on April 23.  Now that the film is very likely to have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May, Fox has decided to delay its stateside debut.

"Money Never Sleeps" stars Michael Douglas, reprising his Oscar-winning Best Actor role from Mr. Stone's 1987 film, Carey Mulligan, Josh Brolin, Susan Sarandon, Frank Langella and Eli Wallach.  Charlie Sheen, who also starred in the 1987 film, makes a cameo in the new film.
