Tribeca Film Festival
Tribeca Film Festival Jury Announced; America Ferrera, Alicia Keys, Brooke Shields, Zoe Cassavetes and Whoopi Goldberg among 35 Jurors

Today the Tribeca Film Festival announced that 35 jurors will be on hand to judge this year's Festival films. 

America Ferrera, Alicia Keys, Brooke Shields, Zoe Cassavetes and Whoopi Goldberg are among the jurors for the New York City-based Festival, which runs from April 21 through May 2.

The juries will award more than $130,000 combined to the six winners.

In a statement released today, Tribeca Film Festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal said, "This year's jury features the same impressive range and depth as our films playing in competition.  They are distinctive and accomplished storytellers, artists and entrepreneurs from the worlds of film, theater, culture, fashion, television and new media -- all of whom share a passion for film, a thirst for discovery and a spirit of  independence."

Here's the breakdown of jurors in their respective categories:

2010 World Narrative Competition
Hope Davis, actress
Aaron Eckhart, actor
John Hamburg, director
Cheryl Hines, actress and director
John Ridley, screenwriter and producer
Gary Ross, writer/producer/director
Gary Winick, director and producer


2010 World Documentary Competition
Jessica Alba, actress
Margaret Brown, director and producer
Marshall Brown, documentary filmmaker
Whoopi Goldberg, actress, comedian, humanitarian
Aidan Quinn, actor
Eric Steel, director and producer


2010 Best New York Narrative Competition
Selma Blair, actress
Zach Braff, actor/writer/director
Zoe Cassavetes, director
Darko Lungulov, director
Andrew McCarthy, actor


2010 New York Loves Film Documentary Competition
